Baseball All-Star game

We are at the midpoint in the baseball season which means it is time for the All-Star game. Even if you are a casual fan, this is the year you should watch. This year has been an outstanding baseball season full of many firsts in the history of the game. Tampa Bay has the best record in baseball, Milaukee wins the CC Sabathia sweepstakes (if you do not know who he is, you really need to watch some ESPN), and Chicago has two first place teams. Don't let the stories of Arodonna(A-Rod/Madonna), Roger Clemons, and Barry Bonds jade your view of a game that also features Corey Hart (ex-IndyIndian), Geovany Soto, Dustin Pedroia, Carlos Quentin, and Evan Longoria just to name a few. Even if you are not into these young stars, I can give you a reason to watch. The game is at Yankee Stadium. This is the last year for Yankee Stadium. Next year the team will move to the NEW Yankee Stadium. So even if you are not looking to get acquainted with the new generation of MLB, you can watch the game next tuesday night to say good-bye to the house that Ruth built in 1923.

I watched the latest installment in the Saw series on Friday. It did frighten me a little bit in parts, and I did not like seeing Luke Danes in the role he was in, but it was a good movie. The story was well written, there was a lot less violence than the third, and we clearly understand where we are going to be going with the fifth movie. I did think it lacked a little of the suspense and wow factor that got me hooked during the first two movies. Overall I rate this movie as a 7.0/10.

First off, congratulations to the puppies up at Purdue with their hard fought win over Wisconsin today. I was very proud of the way they played. There were some silly shots that could have been costly, but on the whole it was a great effort. This should be a fun 3+ seasons getting to watch the Baby Boilers grow up.

Secondly, happy day that iu played an opponent of note and lost. Eric Gordon (EJ?) shot 5-16 and had 4 turnovers. He now has an amazing .68 assist to turnover ratio. DJ White is having a good season 17 points and 10 rebounds a game. If it weren't for Eric Junior he would easily be averaging 25 points. Today also makes Thursday's game between IU and Wisconsin a little more interesting. That should be a good game.
